ultrasonic gun cleaners

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on ultrasonic gun cleaners?

    expensive as heck, and even though they may be a short cut to cleaning the gun, they cannot provide a short cut for proper lubrication, take a 1911 trigger bow, hammer and sear for example, while it may clean it, it also washes away the need lubrication for that area

    My local gun range will do an ultrasonic cleaning of a pistol for $15 while you wait. It might be worth it if your gun is really dirty.

    Average cleaning time for my pistols after a few hundred rounds at the range is about 15 minutes or so. Some guns have taken me hours to clean because the barrel was leaded-up, carbon deposits inside the lockworks etc.
