I pulled my Coleman 3 burner propane stove out tonight to check it was in good working order. I hooked the propane to it, and it will not light. I can hear the gas, but no flame. Does anyone what I might do? I am going camping this weekend and I need to eat!

Did you check for mud dauber nests in the tubes going to the burners. Happened to me and makes for excitement when it catches fire underneath.

My 3 burner is a old converted gas stove, I have to make sure the outside burners are off before I try to light it, I also take my burners apart once in a while and clean them up to.

Ignitor? Try to light it manually.

[8D]--Propane gas, contained in a low pressure bottle will remain flammable for YEARS--So my question is-if you hear gas WHAT IS YOUR LIGHTING INSTRUMENT and are you trying all 3 burners and are you opening the valves FULL???

--is there a pzieoelectric starter and does it ZAP???

--try a match, but only as you first open the valves!!!

--still nothing-listen at the tank vlv and check if you hear the gas there--if so then the rubber feed tube to the burners is pluged or the valve is crossthreaded/corroded/gasket torn--etc--

    --Good luck--[:p][:p]--JIMBO

Use a match and check for heat. If you can hear hissing then something is coming out. Sometimes they are lit, but you just can't SEE that they are lit.

    Happy Camping!
