Just Right Carbine in 45 GAP

This past summer I picked up a unfired Just Right Carbine in 45 GAP caliber at an estate auction in the hills close to my cabin. Box is marked 45GAP and it also had a complete 45ACP conversion kit with it. Since I got it, I had looked for anything about them making one in this caliber. Finally, I gave up and called them. A person there told me they had made a short production run of them when it was rumored that the New York State Police might be switching to 45GAP guns and the NYSP wound up not doing that. I asked about the quantity of this production and was told they made 17 of them.

I called back a couple of days later and asked if they could send me an email about the production of this gun. They sent me an email and it simply states that they made less than 25 guns in this caliber in 2012.

I am sure when the better known manufacturers (Browning, Winchester, Remington, etc) made very limited production runs of odd calibers the value of those would be significantly greater, but what do you think about a lesser known manufacturer like Just Right? I am really not into the "black guns" but just picked up this one because I thought it was odd and was at what I felt was a good price.

Opinions about whether to get rid of it or keep it???

Actually I am pretty sure NYSP did in fact go to GAP back in 2006. There were several SPs that adopted GAP including PA and GA.

I would say the larger best known makers th shorter the time for it to become a collector ITEM [:0] but with the maker of your item It may be a very long time you need to buy [blue]lots of Gap ammo [/blueNOW if this is your plan

yeh. not a popular brand, not an interesting model. so what if they only made a dozen. I'd sell it. do an auction with reserve set at the MSRP, if it makes that I'd be happy. otherwise you get an idea of market value.

Atleast it has a .45 ACP conversion kit, that makes it more practical

you don't want to keep that thing to shoot. if you want a pistol caliber AR get a Lone Wolf G9. blows it away

Thanks for input. I had paid $525 for the gun and conversion kit. At the time, I was thinking that wasn't bad for something different. I was looking at it like I was paying $375 for gun and $150 for conversion kit, so I didn't think I would get hurt. Seems most everyone's thoughts are what mine actually is. When I decide to get rid of some, I am sure it will be one of them.
