[V] A young man who is a firend of ours went to the hospital Fri. to get checked for the flu. Two years ago, he was suffered total renal failure & did not have much time to survive. He recieved a kidney from his father. Just a few months ago, the doctors gave him a clean bill of health and released him. I just recieved an email from his mother that he is suffering from a full blown rejection of his kidney. No warning at all about it. His grandmother is also in hospice due to cancer. The GB folks here are like a big family and this young man and his family needs all the prayers he can get.
[:D] Zachary is doing a little better. He has given the dr the orders of no more dialysis ( been off and on for several years ). Has been recieving IV durgs to help get his creatine levels down. Dr. took it out last night and told him is he stayed ok through the night he could go home. Unfortunatley, they had to put the iv back in and start up the IV meds again. If his levels drop a few more points he will be able to come home possibly on Thursday.
On an Awesome note, Zach has started talking to the pastors at our church when they came to visit him. When he got sick, he stumbled severely in his faith. He is now back on track. I think that this was a wake-up call from the Man Upstairs.

IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.

Being an end stage renal disese patient myself i know what it is like having to loose kidneys and go on dialysis. Transplant failure is an horrific threat that all ESRD patients have to live with. If your friend has good doctors and a good dialysis center [some are not!] then he will survive and be placed on a transplant waiting list.
