I took a couple of coworkers out for a DIY clay shoot this morning. Both shotguns were mine. When we were done two of us started cleaning up our mess while, unknown to me, the other guy cased the guns and put them away in the truck. Didn't think anything of it. Everybody was just helping out and both own guns. When I got home I uncased them and the first one had the action open and the safety on. That's the way I leave them when I'm done. The other was the opposite. Out of habbit I snapped the safety on and then opened the action. Out popped a live round.
I'll be checking my guns myself from now on.
