best value carbine?

I'm looking for a rifle with similar qualities to my AK--cheap (less than $250), cheap and fun to shoot, high cap mags, low recoil.

Looking at a HiPoint 9mm. Any advice or other ideas? Thanks.

I have one of those fold up Kel Tec 2000 guns in 40 caliber that takes the now cheap Glock 29 round mags. Looks like a plastic toy, but is a damn fine gun and comes in 9mil too.

You'd think they would make the Kel Tec rifle in 45acp to use 1911 mags.

Look at the Marlin Camp45 rifles. They are hard to come by and the ones you find sell for just as much as they cost new.

any of the above , also would include marlin camp 9, takes S&W mags, I have both the camp 9 and 45 setting in the safe , have extra mags for both but I haven't shot either yet, so really can't say how good of shooters they are

If your on a budget Go for the 9mm hipoint, fun accurate to say 50 yards and cheap to shoot.
the m1 carbine itself is expensive but if its within your budget go for it. [:D][:D][:D]
