The shop took one in on trade missing a few minor parts and in need of a little cosmetic tlc. Still fully functional and original Nazi marked gun though. Be a nice little project for a cold rainy day.Gonna end up having close to $150 into it before it's done.[:D]

It must be a P38 since the P1 is a post WWII production pistol and would not be Nazi marked. Here is my own P1 pistol which I purchased a couple of years back.

Thank you for clearing that up. I thought it was the other way around. I'll be doing some reading up on them now that I have one to mess with. By the way Mark, the two Ortgies{sp?}32 cal.s at the shop are $130 and $199. The latter was $250, but no one has bought it in over a year. The cheaper one has a messed up grip panel.

Yeah, the grips are brown and what finish is left is more blue than matte. Serial number is low four digits. I'm going to have a time finding that barrel band for the sight.

Try marstar in canada they list the barrels in fair condition. If the band is removable you will be all set. Just type in marstar in google and it will come right up

The P1 is what they called the post-war civilian model. I think this one is OK for CA sales, too. Wait until you try to buy a spare mag for it and see what people are getting for P38 mags. Jesus!!!! I got one fairly cheaply when the seller listed it as a P1 mag and I think most people didn't know it was the same as the P38 so nobody else bid on it.
