Don't sellers do any research before listing?

I see it all the time, for example, there will be five or six sellers selling a new rifle for $299 and then there are other sellers listing the same exact rifle for $359?? I would guess that most buyers with any sense are going to skip right past the one for $359 and look at the lower priced ones first. I see some gunshops have their entire inventory listed and not a single bid on anything!

If they paid to much for it upfront than it will be reflected in their start price.
If a seller got an excellent buy or the particular model had a blowout sale from the distributor, you will see several listings with the reduced rate adjustment.
The higher priced seller is not trying to make a killing they normally have a set markup (which with new firearms is minimal) and thats what it will need to sell for.
Talk about not doing the research or knowing what you have, how about this one: http://tinyurl.com/5gn7wp
Birds head? I don't think so.

Reminds me of the fellow at a gunshow where I bought my pre-war A5 16g. Shure, the wood was thrashed but the blue was better than 75%. $105, The barrel alone was worth that. He told me the guy who traded it said it jammed, of course it jammed, it was made for 2 9/16" cartridges. Hasn't jammed once on me.
New wood, new blue, I've got one nice A5 now.
