The leader, Rick, is a deputy sheriff, but he behaves and thinks less like a cop than just about any protagonist I have ever seen.
This all takes place in Georgia. Georgia is on the east coast. There are barrier islands off the coast, many of which have nice homes on them. So, why not commandeer a boat, check out the islands, and choose one that is suitable? Make friends with any live humans and destroy any dead ones. Too easy, I reckon.
The zombies should be covered in maggots and figure they should only exist what 2 weeks maybe 3 before they're non-op maggot poop. I'm not even going to go how zombies can bite through cloths? That reminds me I wanna see a grandma zombie with no teeth gumming anyone.
As for island hopping that's a good idea. If they sail then they won't need fuel. Fuel has to be hard to get right? After what say five years at least? Maybe the island hopping is where "Fear The Dead" is going? Season one was crap.
I can't imagine a TV show about zombies got silly.

I watched for the first few seasons, but not last season or this. It just got silly, and the interval between seasons was long enough for me to lose interest.

I read some of the comments when they said the ratings have dropped . I would guess like nascar they will be a base of fans still hanging in there ,
I know I have lost interest in the show along with countless others
Because that would make them live happily ever after with no killing and mayhem and then the show would be over[:D]

that didnt work out so well in "fear the walking dead" just as many deadly humans on water as on land, and since zombies do not drown , they make it everywhere
in addition, every human on earth is infected, so if an island inhabitants die, they turn just the same
After one clears the island it'll be like the season at the prison. Do a daily bed check to make sure no one kicked off during the night. You're good. I suppose a few sentries to keep an eye out for zombies washing up.
I wanna see mad cow munching on long pig.
Might as well since Bill already looks like a zombie.
