Cabelas customer service sucks

I was trying to find out what store had a gun that I was looking for in stock, it is a Cabelas exclusive . So I used the chat option as I have 3 Cabelas within a couple hours and wanted to know what one to drive to. All I was told is that they don't do holds and could not tell me via email or chat. Highly disappointed in their service.

    Call the stores directly.

I have had good luck with their in store customer service!

Have always had great service from Cabelas.

Call the store directly. I have had firearms delivered to my local store on 3 occasions from other stores. Once a new shotgun, twice older rifles from the library. If you don't buy the firearm there is a $ 25.00 charge.

Never have tried the chat option, but as in all things, personal contact will trump email, chat, etc.

You can also check individual store inventory on line. Go cabelas-city-then click store web-shooting then you can check rifle, pistol etc.If it shows in inventory you can call and hold.
Sorry for brief info hard to type on phone.

I tried the chat there and other sites, they don't have a clue or any authority to do anything. All the chat services suck that I have ever used, waste of time. After spending an 1/2 hour on one, all the had to say at the end, was to call the place direct.[:(]

Worth it to see the firearm before committing to the purchase, IMO.

Call the Cabela's phone number and then ask for the phone number of the nearest or desired store. Then when you do get the sporting goods gun dept ask to speak to the manager of that dept, the Horses mouth.

I've tried the chat thing myself and no go. I've bought the same guns that they have on GB for lots less $$$ and pain.

Cabela's customer service online and in their stores use to be atrocious. I hated dealing with them and ended up going to Bass pro. I started back with Cabela's again and their customer service is 110% better. They will go out of their way to get any problem resolved and help you find a product. They would never return a product without a receipt. Now they will exchange it or replace it with a better or same product. My parents bought me a pair of camo slippers for walking the dogs. The dogs promptly ate them.[:(!] On a whim, I called customer service and told them what happened and did they have another pair like them. Lady said they were discontinued as she was trying not to laugh through the phone. She called their store in Delaware and told me to go to customer service and call her back from there. The following week, i went there and low and behold, she got me a way better pair, for free.[:)][:)][:)][:)]Yup, No charge and a thank you for being a valuable customer. The Cabela's customer service in Delaware is number one in my books and they have a customer for life.[;)] Oakie
