The larger part is the lower jaw. The smaller part is the upper jaw with no incisors.It is a herbivore, most likely a cow. Where did you find it? Thoughts upper k-9s could be what is called the ivories on an Elk.

No, the picture came from some body that I know. It looks a lot like a horse skull to me.

I don't know if that the musk deer all I know there is a deer that has those Fang type teeth on the lower jaw.

That is better. Looks like the palatine teeth are called 'wolf' teeth. Not all horses have them.

This isn't the same skull. Again, the skull in the OP, I believe, is either a musk deer or a P?re davids deer. The lower teeth are odd....

I think Texaswildman is onto it. Looks like either a Chinese Water Deer or Reeve's Muntjac. Definitely not equine as it has no upper incisors.
