I bought a new Model 39A and right away had failures to fire. Three repairs and a return to the factory later, It fires MOST of the time.I bought an old model, by serial no. a 1964 model, and fell in love with it. (infidelity?) I hear of removing the rebounding hammer... a guy on rimfire central was giving out the info how-to, but no longer. Is anyone of you familiar with the procedure for doing this? I understand Bob Lungren Has had that done to his lever action, and that along with improving reliability it improves accuracy. If I can get this done, I can love BOTH my 39As.
