I was out there yesterday to buy myself a new gun vault, and I made the mistake of looking at something to fill the vault.

I've fallen in love all over again, but this time, I've got enough brains (and too little money) to proceed.

Everyone should own at least one Smith 44mag. I like my model 29, polished blue myself but that one looks good.

I shot that at our manufacturer's shoot with 44spl. Was a dream to shoot. Purposely didn't try 44 mag though.

i never owned a s&w 44 that didnt loosen up when shot. i got sick of checking the screws and keeping the trigger and sideplates in order due to loose screws. sold every s&w 44 ive owned and was glad. curse those 29's!

For once I'm glad to hear bobski taking shots at something--I can get a Ruger for half the price, but can't yet bring myself to say no to the Smith.

How does S&W hold up compared to Ruger and Taurus? What can I say, I love the feel of 'em all, but don't want to buy 3 .44 mags (yet[:p])
