I need some help with a project I'm working on. Some knowledge of abnormal psychology (repression induced by severe/extreme trauma) would be useful and very much appreciated. Send me a PM if you'd like to help.

    There seem to be a few victims of said malady on the board but, thankfully, they seem to have moved to the political forum. Tragically,
    I fear this is only a temporary respit from their rantings on this board.

    It doesn't make any more sense to put a posting on the POLITICAL board because it deals with a POLITICALly incorrect topic than to post on GENERAL DISCUSSION a topic that DISCUSSES GENERAL Motors. Sometimes I think Mudge is seeking a title or two that may not be perceived as complimentary.

    I babysit 87 adults, the father & son of the company I work for and their spolied rich customers, and the self centered, insecure, super spolied, extremely rich racing customers.
    Its just like running a child care facility for wayward 6yr olds!!!!
    Grrrr. Have not had to change their dipers yet!, But possibly any day now.

    You might want to change the title of your thread, replacing "psychiatrist" with "psychologist" -- of course, which you want to talk to, will depend on what you're trying to learn.

    Freudian has a degree in psychology, but then -- based upon previous comments here on the forums -- you generally don't seem to like to hear what she has to say...

    Bobski: The trauma was psychologically induced in a 10-year-old boy by his witnessing the rape and murder of his 8-year-old sister.

    Competent: Based on past input, I can probably obtain what she knows by doing a simple Google search. Harsh? So's life.

    Drobs: I did the same, that's why I'm asking, Thanks anyway.

    Mudge- I see you got the point of my post that was merely a play on words with no particular point- I think I don't need to say that you don't need to give it any further thought. and besides my meds were wearing off by that point of the day- in case you hadn't guessed.
