California stupidity

Doing a blueprint for a CA company trying to get a zoning exemption. Simple job that should take about 5 hours......not in CA. Apparently the mouthbreathers in gov't out there can't identify simple things like a parking lot on a map and need every damn detail marked and specified. The print that was used to build the place had less detail than what they want for this damn exemption. Surprised the didn't require it to be drawn in 3D so the idiots could figure out where the building were [xx(]

Simple, just go smoke a joint and start over. (You have to think like them).

If it makes them laugh or they think it looks cool, (Functional or not) they will accept it!

CA is in the top 5 for poor business climate. No surprise here as democrats have governed the state for almost 40 yrs.

Soon all that will be left is the porn industry, Hollywood, agriculture, and a service economy.

And to make things more difficult and bureaucratic, I have to do a separate drawing labelling the locations and MSDS info for any hazardous materials.......in a heavy equipment shop. For a state that has the most environmental, gun, and business regulations, the air/water is toxic, crime is rampant, and businesses are fleeing in droves. Way to go CA, just a little more regulation and it'll only be potheads and wackos who want to marry their cat left in your worthless state.

The porn industry is moving out due to the new law requiring condoms.
Hollywood is moving out due to the high cost of shooting in CA cities.
Agriculture is dying because the farmers are not allowed the water they need in fear of hurting the delta smelt.

Pretty soon the only ones left will be the illegals.

My friend & I laughed at the Venezuelans about 20 years ago, on a building trip we submitted a set of plans to the authorities, the plans were approved. the general contractor started laying the stakes out and we noticed they differed greatly from the plans. we asked the contractor about it. He said not to worry- the authorities didn't know one plan from another- so the building was completed, the inspectors approved it, and all were happy.

Sounds closer to home all the time.
