Small Business Bullet Makers?

I saw a notice that Bitterroot Bullets is no longer in business and was wondering if the advance by the big bullet companies into the bonded bullet business has virtually eliminated this niche market for small operators. Some years back I did a review of several small companies that made bullets and while it appears these companies are no longer in business, I see their designs being used by the large companies, so possible the small companies sold their patents to the large?
