Kerry ain't the only one who can have a plan about anything and everything.
The anti-gun crowd are so intent on taking credit for keeping more and more guns out of the hands of criminals with their waiting periods and background checks it seems logical for them to admit that mostly law abiding citizens are the ones buying guns now. So that being the case why not do away with the laws against these very same law abiding private citizens owning full autos. After all, if a guy is not shooting up the town with his semi auto AK, why would it follow that he would shoot up the town with a full auto. The answer is that he would not. He would however spend a lot more cash on ammo. I know I would be buying 308,223 and 7.65x39 by the truck load. Also, everyone would buy atleast one full auto. Be a real jolt to the economy for these american companies to boost their sales by 75 million over night.
That is my economic stimulus plan. It ain't too late to write me in on the ballot![;)]

    Bad point.. 1986 Machine gun act would have to be reversed.. Fat chance... As it stands there are not enough MG's to go around for your plan. Simply supply and demand.

    Select Fire, the idea is that american companies could manufactor full autos for domestic sales. And all the anti MG acts back to the 1930 law would be null and void.

    I always thought shooting the 50 BMG was fun, as long as the govt was paying for the ammo; but I guess your plan would involve me paying; well I guess it would be about the best excuse I could thnk of for going to work.
