Winchester, Pre 64, Mod 70, Configurations?

Breifly, what are the differences in the most common Winchester, pre '64, Mod 70 configurations, especially between standard and featherweight. If the explanations are too lengthy or complicated please direct me to an on-line resource?

    I'd have to get some copies of old Shooter's Bibles out to review, but as I recall, there was the Standard, Target, African, Alaskan, Featherweight, and Super-Grade. there are variations within those models, but as I recall those were the general listings.
