My brother leaves for Afghanastan on the 18th. My hats off to both of you and hope you come back safe. My brothers in a Bradley unit. He is PFC. Patrick Parsons. If you happen to run into him, you will not find a better soldier to serve with. Good luck to both of you.

I've a cousin in Basic and a cousin's husband is on his second tour in Afghanistan.

I just saw [the active service member's] mother-in-law.
She didn't seem overly-worried. Better location?

Congrats and good luck. My brother's about half way throgh his tour in Kuwait. He's with the 2-128 out of Wisconsin currently deployed to Camp Navistar, Kuwait.

As for myself, I'm going to be heading to Minot, ND in a month and a half to join the 5th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron of the 5th Bomber Wing. I'm currently undergoing training at Sheppard AFB, Texas.

Good job. Where did you do your basic and where are you headed for AIT?

I lived in Lawton for a long while. Ft. Sill is a big base. My dad was stationed there. Enjoy the Army. Oh, and don't forget "Fly Navy."
