I want to visit the tv show family's fish market where they go fishing for snapper and grouper. I forget the show's name. I think they're out of Galveston.

Go to Guido's for some good seafood.

Drive up the the San Jacinto Monument and eat at the Monument Caf? at the ferry Landing for some really great seafood.

Visit NASA in Clear Lake City...interesting things about our Space Program

Both are just a short 45 minute or One hour drive.

Ride the Bolivar Ferry...Walk/shop the Strand...and just enjoy the Beach.

I was raised in LA Porte just North of Galveston on Galveston Bay...Galveston was my second home and where we spent our honeymoon...62 years ago.

If you like touring old homes and architecture, then look these up:

    The Bishop's Palace
    Ashton Villa
    Moody Mansion
    Samuel May Williams Home
Check out Sacred Heart Catholic Church (next to Bishop's Palace)
