Going there in a few weeks - what is the to dos , to see , to eat at ?

Drive up the the San Jacinto Monument and eat at the Monument Caf? at the ferry Landing for some really great seafood.
Visit NASA in Clear Lake City...interesting things about our Space Program
Both are just a short 45 minute or One hour drive.
Ride the Bolivar Ferry...Walk/shop the Strand...and just enjoy the Beach.
I was raised in LA Porte just North of Galveston on Galveston Bay...Galveston was my second home and where we spent our honeymoon...62 years ago.

Shrimp & Stuff ....39th@Ave O.
The Spot...Seawall/Burger joint.
Fresh seafood from the boat...19th St.
House tour is good. Bishop's Place etc..
Ferry to Bolivar...park on Galveston side
and walk on..no traffic.
The Strand
Ride The Duck tour boat/land rig.
Drive down to the west end of the island
and check out San Luis Pass.
