    Take the shotgun out to the range and find out which choke tube does best.

    Skeet = Skeet or Cylinder

    Turkey = Extra Full or Ulti-Mag (if you've a Mossberg 835/935).

    Deer = No clue.

    If using a slug you want cylinder choke, NOT improved.

    cylinder bore for slugs. extra full for turkey ( I don't know why a full wouldn't be fine depending on the range) and the improved cylinder is what I use for skeet. modified would be ok too. the ends of the choke tube that is visible when its installed in the barrel has notches so that you can determine which choke is in the gun without removing it one notch =full 2 notches= modified and three is improved

    You generally want the turkey choke to be as tight as possible. That's why I'm recommending X-Full or tighter (there are A/M tubes out there that will go tighter than most factory chokes).

    As for trap/skeet, I've had good luck with improved cylinder, but a lot of people will use skeet or cylinder with skeet shooting.

    Winchester sells (or sold) a Rifled Slug choke for the 1300 (I had one and sold it recently). It was about 2" or so of rifling in it. I never shot it, so I had no idea if it actually worked. I have not seen other choke tube manufacturers (although I also admit to not looking) selling chokes specifically for shooting rifled slugs.

    I use Skeet1 and Skeet2 in one shotgun and Improved and Modified in the other for skeet.

    Spanielsells, the rifled choke tubes are for shooting non-rifled slugs. The rifled slugs have lands and grooves in them to induce spin in a smoothbore barrel.

    Would the inch or so of rifling actually accomplish the task, though? That doesn't seem like it would do much to increase the accuracy.

    I've used rifled choke tubes for a few years now. In my 870 12 it really made a difference. I got one for my sons 1100 20 and it was a real tack driver. It would stack them on top of each other at 50 yards. If you don't won't to spend the money the IC would work fine.
