One thing I did forget to mention.
Directly under the thumb due cocker, attached to the body of pistol is a small , thin almost "L" shaped part. It is riveted , not screwed into body. The top divot is gone or undone and that piece / part moves freely.

What is that for? Is it a deal breaker or major fix?
Should I even test fire it?
Seller wants $600. For both , with leather oldsters. Both are very used.

The 39 is one of my favorite pistols. I don't think there's any difference in the two except one is a bit older.

"Very used"? That would scare me away. Especially when this "fair" one went for $256:

Seems like too much money for guns that may require repair.

EDIT: No idea what the part you are describing is. Do you mean slide stop? Photo?

    Thanks fellas.

Myers, what is the purpose of that riveted part directly under the de- cocker?

The top robot is out and that part wiggles and is loose?
