My new shooting rest

I shoot mainly Specialty pistols so it is difficult to find a decent rest to shoot with, I have been using a Caldwell Rock BR with a rear squeeze bag but it left me wanting more. I came upon a guy who makes the XPFuzz rest specifically for shooting SP's and after saving a bit I was able to order one. Mine came in yesterday after only a just over a month wait, boy, I couldn't be happier.


The machine work is perfect, everything is very smooth and it is rock steady.




He knew that I shot mainly Contenders, mid grip XP's and Strikers, but I told him that later this year I was going to build a rear grip Striker so I would need a little extra length. So for no extra cost he made the rest expandable by over 9" to fit what ever I may wish to put on it.


Now I just need to replace my old Caldwell bags with a new set of Protektor bags and I'll be ready to have some fun.

Years ago I built an XP100, McMillan mid grip stock, Shilen select match barrel chambered in a tight .250 Savage caliber. 6.5-20 Leupold and a Canjar trigger. 1st time out, 4 loads, (2) 5 shot groups were 3/8" and the other (2) groups were 1/4" @ 100 yards.

XP's will shoot, if you can rest them. Good lookin' rig!

I found this Millet Pistol Rest at a flea market for $2 bucks. Works better than my other pistol rest. The people selling it said they couldn't figure out what it was.

that is one fine rest ,

I have never took shooting serious , off hand or once in a while on a picnic table with a couple wood blocks or sand bags ,
my son is pushing to better equipment and shooting skills so I will let him see your post . do you have a link or name of the fellow ?
