What's the deal with Ohio and magazines?

I was told that certain places in Ohio have restrictions on magazine capacity (which may conflict with state law). I explained in my auction that I am not running a business but am just selling off some items that I have collected over the years (I put that in because I got emails from people in CA wanting to buy because they are exempt from the magazine law). So I have no desire to spend my retirement savings on a lawyer in a Ohio "test case," but I got a "snarky" email from a buyer who seems to think I should retain an attorney for my "garage sale." So is it safe to ship 30 round magazines to Ohio?

Some of the big outfits have features on their web sites that tell you if you can buy certain magazines. Cheaper than dirt has it by state or city.

I was contacted by someone in Ca and they stated they could buy because they had a permit. I checked with the Ca DOJ, and it took a while to respond, and yes they could buy but had to include a copy of the permit

Some cities in Ohio have their own laws restricting magazine capacity. What I include in my listings (compiled from looking at large retailers and at the some of the laws myself):

I cannot ship this magazine to the following states and cities: California, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Aurora, IL, Chicago, IL, South Bend, IN, Cincinnati, OH, Cleveland OH, Columbus, OH, Dayton, OH, and Toledo, OH. If you live in any of these locations, or your billing address in in one of these locations, DO NOT BID ON THESE MAGAZINES.

Some of that will have to change in April when New York's new laws take effect -- even 10-round magazines won't be able to go to New York.

There are exceptions -- such as already noted about CA. I've told people in CA, some who have claimed to be law enforcement officers, that I will ship to them care of their department address, or to an FFL who can then transfer the magazines. Some have been willing to provide me with that information; others, when I tell them such shipping requirements, I don't hear from again -- and I suspect they were lying about being law enforcement.

One of my listings as an example showing how I list:

The Ohio law states any magazines over 30rds are not legAL. It used to be 20,s but when they sent the laws to the printer, they put 30 in place of 20 and they let it stand.
Someone has to catch you with one over 30 in the gun and then prosecute [;)]
The bigger cities might have different laws about mags [xx(]
