Saiga rifle in 7.62 X 39

Well, I took everyone's advice and bought a Saiga rifle. Took it out to the range today and tested it out. I was very impressed! The range I shoot at has steel gongs hanging at 200, 300 and 400 yards and I was able to consistently ring the 200 yard gong, 3 out of five on the 300 yard gong and every once in while, I'd ring the 400 yard gong! This was with the standard iron sights which are standard AK style. I fired 100 rounds thru the rifle with no hangups at all. You just can't beat the price too! I ordered another one today for my son!

    I don't really think people are uninterested in your topic.

    It is possible however, that like me, they're wondering if that 400 yard gong is about comparable in size to a Buick Roadmaster.

    Hey Stanman, yes, the 400 yard gong is pretty big, about 36" by 36" square, and no I wasn't bragging about my abilities, I was just very pleased that the rifle shot where it was pointed. I have had AK's and SKS rifles in the past that shot 20" wide at 100 yards out of the box!
