I just put one on my rifle and it offers a FAST reload. I don't have a vertical fore-grip, and am not likely to get one, so I use a 20-round mag in holder. A 30-rounder interferes with my left hand on the forend.

I see alot of guys mounting their spare mag on their forearm in a nylon pouch over here. Those grip pods are popular too.

Me too! [:D]

I don't hang lots of crap on my rifle, and will not, not even a foregrip. I did, however want a handy way to carry a spare magazine on the rifle, and the Rail-Mag seems to fill the bill.

try a buttstock mag, I have one on several of my rifles and I like it.

Why not do a Redi-Mag? It sits right next to your main mag and uses the same controls to release it? I have them on 3 of my AR's and love them. I have the older style where both mags are released with the push of the mag release button.
