I need to pick up a few new batteries for my Eotech XPS sights. Anyone have a go to brand for CR123 batteries? I have found so many brands at such a huge price spread, can't figure out which ones to get.

The best out there. Should be less than $25 a dozen.

Thanks, I was looking online and found various chinese crap for under a buck a piece, and on the high end I found some from Radio Shack at $13 each but they had a rating of 1 out of 5.

The panasonic that came with my XPSs have lasted a good while, but I guess you can't go wrong with Surefire. Surefire site is selling them 12 for $21 plus $7 shipping. Looks like a winner

I have not tried the surefire. I might try them next. I have good experience with the Duracell 123's though.

Come up with a rechargeable Li-ion and you will be a billionaire over night! I know I have pondered it.

Walmart sells them for $10/a package of 2. If we can beat Walmart's price, we are doing pretty good.

I bought some CR123 for a little under a $1.00 a piece. They work fine, they have good brightness at first but lose brightness quicker than the Surefire batteries. The batteries I got are called TENERGY. I have not decided if I will buy them again, but the price sure was right.

I have been buying them direct from China and they run less than $1.00 each shipped. Since I can but EverReady from China cheaper than I can here I am guessing all these batteries are made there.

Pay all the people you want to middle man them or buy them and have them mailed to your house.

I believe this is an American company: http://www.batteryjunction.com/pri-cr123a.html
Notice Surefire are $ 2 for $4.49 and 12 for $24.50 and EverReady are $1.43 each!!
Duracell are $21.60 for 12 pack.

Truth is I buy direct from China as the Battery Junction prices I noted above are more than I pay for them!!!!

Most of these are the same battery with a different label and unless someone can say for sure they likely all come from one of two factories in China

    I buy from www.batterybob.com

Even talked to Bob on a Sunday afternoon when I was having trouble locating a camcorder battery. Good folks in Florida.

The main difference is the mAh rating. For example TENERGY batteries are rated at 1300 mAh, and Duracell are 1550 mAh rated. When you understand that some are packed with more power per battery then you understand why they range in cost. Only you can make the call as to how much you want to spend. I really see no difference between the Surefire and Duracell batteries.

    +100

I have dealt with him many times over the past couple years. Solid guy, fast shipping, great price, great product.

I do need to order another box of batteries. I end up buying a 50 pack box about once a year.
