Thinking about getting a new one I can mount stuff on. Which are good ones since I know nothing about them and have heard very little.

I have tried several and like this one the best.
Good luck trying to find one right now though.

Here is an AR I have set up with the YHM handguard.
You can add or delete rails to fit any configuration.

I have been very happy with the ARMS product.

Not cheap, but well made and looks good, too!

Well you have a few different styles to choose from depending no how you want to it to look and mount. Like MVP said YHM makes a good product at a fair price. I dont like them since they look funny to me where there is a gap between the receiver and the rail where the Delta ring is. I prefer ones that mount up flush to the receiver. Most of these mount just as you would replace the handguards.

There are several companies that make ones that mount against the receiver. I have a set of Midwest Industries rails that I really like. These ones work by cutting off the Delta ring, or in my case removing the BBL nut and taking the parts off. I believe there are some companies that make ones that fit over the Delta ring.

This one is still being built:

The 3rd option that I know of is the systems that a requires you to remove the BBL nut and replace with a threaded one that the hand guard screws too. This is a good set up too if you have the tools to remove the BBL nut.

Here is a set of Olympic Arms Frish Rails on my suppressed 9mm:

The first style that replaces the hand guards does not free float the BBL, the later 2 styles do.
