I found a source for inexpensive, very good quality 9mm +P+ personal defense or police ammo and it disappeared. Anyone know anything about this?

    It may have something to do with not allowing what might be considered advertising in posts. I didn't see it but Admin may have perceived it as an ad.

    Try posting a message saying that if you are looking for cheap 9mm ammo email me for the address.

    Thanks for the advice. You are probably right. It facinates me that the site "administrators" would allow covert "advertising" but not allow overt "advertising". Fascinates me, that is, in the sense that it is ultimately foolish and makes no sense.

    I've invested a lot of time on the various forums, as I know you and many others have, too. As a matter of fact, compared to many of the forum members, I don't have much time in here at all!

    However, I have noticed a number of disrespectful outbursts, some of which I've been responsible for.....but not without some reason on my part. I feel this ambushing and deleting of topics, though, is disrespectful and over the line and points to the character of those who do it.

    This is becoming too much to deal with. If I enjoyed this kind of action, I would have continued working. I guess I'll cut back on my contributions, such as they are. There are any number of people who are more expert than I and simple opinions about the mundane are scarecely worth noting anyway. I do enjoy the technical forums and I'll keep referring to them periodically.

    You can understand that this site is a business. People pay money to advertise on this site so having folks posting free ads in the Forums isn't cool with them.

    You wouldn't walk into Fred's Gunshop holding up a sign advertising a sale at Bill's Gunshop, would you? You wouldn't appreciate it if you were Fred, right?

    Its like it don't apply to everyone
    Someone adds a link to something they want to share and they take it off. But if you add a link to the auction side its ok. when the rules states no Want Ads, For Sale Ads[8D]
