And would like to add it to my collection of 40x's[:p] But knew out of the gate this one would be to rich for my blood and become a safe queen.

Good Question! Alot of folks don't know about the 40x's It's one of the most accurate custom Factory guns Rem. makes.
Remington 40x is basically an International match rifle born in the early 60's.
Here is a pretty good brief history-

Which I stole at an estate auction for $480. That is my Varmint work horse.
My .308 40x-br is evil black with the McMillan A4 stock. NXS scope base and rings, was about $4800+ out the door. Sound expensive, but if you miss any thing that comes in the cross hairs, its your fault![:D]
Just a little bit. Every now and then.
Absolutely beautiful.
I'd suggest that if one likes it, wants it and can afford it, snatch it up.
Things that beautiful deserve to be taken and loved by those that most appreciate them.
The perfect creation to me would be a 22-250 or there abouts like FrancF's clothed and accessorizedthat along the lines of this one!
(It is untouchable to the likes of myself ... but none the less appreciated!) [:)] [:0] [^]
