This will be Lil' Joe after our esteemed VP who advocated buying a double barrel shotgun and firing it indiscriminately into the air as a means of home defense.

This will be Bubba after former president Bill Clinton because this is was what he wanted to ban so badly.

standard.jpg

And this will be named Barry after the greatest president ever just because it's the one I have that I know would make him piss his pants the most.

I've considered naming some of mine- they're all too old to be eligible for AFDC, but I should be able to register them to vote.

The HK doesn't have the fear inspiring bayonet lug.[:D]

Here's the one that I have that scares the wanker in the white house just as badly:

He wets him self just at the very mention of it. I like to call it The Bitter Clinger.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Uses regular table salt. It's kind of like a nerf gun. One pump and it shoots salt like a shotgun. Very short range though. As luck would have it, it is very cool today. No flies around.

It's one of the many funny gags in "Firefly". Jayne Cobb offers to trade his favorite gun "Vera" for the perfect woman.

The gun is never shown being used, only carried. Cobb does all his shooting with other guns, never his favorite "Vera". Which is actually a shotgun under all that movie prop stuff anyhow.

It was a good show anyway. [:)]

The last two look much more like a Hillary and a Michelle. Trying to imagine what a Chelsea might look like. Maybe tue first black rifle would be a Michelle. Once you go black...

IMHO a "Barry" would be a pissant H&R 25 revolver with a bad ccylinder.

Mr. Perfect- The HK91 does indeed have a bayonet mount. I used to have the blade for it.

Pestilence is a fairly new naming as it first appeared in the early 20th Century.

From the 2nd Century on, the horseman on the whit horse was thought to represent Christ or the Holy Spirit, and was referred to as Conquest or Victory. If it is a reference to Christ or the Holy Spirit, one would think Conquest or Victory would be more fitting than would be Pestilence.

No they mount above the barrel and the back of the boyonet fits into a "socket" below the rear sight, Like this:

Sam06 saved me a thousand words with his photo. Butt of bayonet locks into a mechanism on top of the barrel and a ring surrounds the flash hider. Usually you see the bayonet on the underside of the barrel, the HK system has it on top.

I had the bipod, bayonet, scope mount and 10 magazines for this but when it was stolen in 1986 I figured it was gone forever so I sold all of that stuff. Then 17 years later the LAPD recovered the rifle.

Here it is with original stock and normal 20 round mag.

Only have one gun that has a name. "Lindsay" a Kimber CDP 2 that came to me all jacked up and had to get sent back to the factory for rehab.

As for "Vera" she looks like a tricked out Saiga. She did get used once. Shot a few rounds through a space suit into a space chop shop. It's that episode with that redhead with big boobs that went on to "Mad Men".
