and NOW it has turned into "The pan U lent me is a 10" LODGE"!!! [:(!]

I'm friggin PISSED MAN!!! That pan has been in my family for over 100 years and I KNOW what i have/had.
I have the entire rest of the set,in my possession, except for the 12" I lent to her!!
I think someone pulled a fast one,on her!![V]

your definition of friend is a lot different than mine.
Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

Well, I guess you have yet to learn the lesson about lending your things out.

I only had to learn that once.....

    Sorry for your loss.
The pan and the friend. [V][}:)]
It's being willing. I found out early that most men, regardless of cause or need, aren't willing. They blink an eye or draw a breath before they pull the trigger. I won't. ~ J.B. Books

If her kitchen is anything like mine she probably has no idea that there is a 12" skillet in there somewhere. Between the three teenagers and the housekeeper nothing has a "place" in the cabinets. I like how Cartod hangs his Griswolds!!! I am working on something for my Iron....but there isn't really a good spot to do like he has done in my kitchen.

I feel for you, but I would have never lent out a 100 year old family heirloom. I am overly * when it comes to my micrometers and other precision instruments. Had a good buddy wanted to "borrow" a 4" to 5" mic once. Told him, I'll come over and do the measurements for you....he got mad, said he wanted to "learn" by himself. NOT ON MY TOOLS!![:(!]

I was once nice to people, I would always lend out my things, most of the time something would happen and I would be out of a friend and a possession, now I'm just a selfish jerk that won't help a living soul

...I've narrowed the list of things that I will loan out. Lawn mowers, rototillers, most any power equipment is off limits. Never been asked, but I wouldn't loan cookware either.
...I'm generous with hand tools, cheap ammo, guns to a very few people and plenty of my time or advice (for what that's worth!)

I really think someone swapped my pan for a cheep Lodge imposter and Kelly had no idea what happened...
It's totally my fault it got "lost",I should have never lent it to her.[V]

I used to loan my stuff out but I got sick of driving all over to get it back when I needed it. now I will either go help with the job or give them the name of a good rental place.

...OK, that's just plain old "giving". If a friend uses my farm to shoot, I'll gladly supply ammo to help him/her get more practice in.
Plus, I get to pick up the brass.

I think I'd do a little detective work.

Damn Fish I'd be doing the Tommy Lee Jones hard Target Search "The Fugitive" style. I would throw friendship under the bus to get what is mines. I figure the "friendship" is damaged so why not ruin it to get what is yours?
