All that talk made me go watch them and I had forgotten how "Alien" was boring. We know "Prometheus" was boring. They're both equally boring. Now "Aliens" not only wasn't boring, it was funny. Well it's show time for "Aliens".

Haven't seen the new one yet. The original was a bit slow at times. I liked Prometheus. Not great, but it was good. Aliens was the best.

I was one of the few who didn't like the original "Alien." It had some good concepts, but I DESPISE monster movies that never give a good look at the monster. All you saw was flashing teeth and millisecond looks at it's body. I really didn't know what the monster looked like until I saw a model of it in a hobby shop a year later.

Aliens was excellent because it was like a war movie and you saw the aliens.

Then they made the ghastly Alien 3. That ruined the series for me.

Didn't like, "Prometheus" too much either.

Totally agree with Aliens 3 ruining the series!

Just like the movie Highlander should have never gone on to Highlander 2!

After watching "Aliens" I got the price on the destroyed space ship from the first movie. $42 Million Dollars [:0][:0][:0]. Not Billion and I suppose the concept of Trillion was inconceivable back then.

And folks smoked like a chimney in winter. The heyday of big tobacco and Hollywood.

And people were using styrofoam cups. Don't see many of those these days. Maybe they make a come back in the future?

Bill Paxton did move the movie along with his bitchin and panicking.

So I figured out the sequence of this franchise. It's like "Star Trek". First movie slow and bad "Prometheus", "Alien" and "Star Trek The Motion Picture". Then it's good "Aliens", "Wrath Of Khan" with luck "Alien: Covenant" will follow the pattern.

OK... Star Trek was mentioned, so I'm taking this thread off of the rails. If you are into Sci-Fi, then you'll love this... which is nerdier, Star Trek or Star Wars.
