I drove my trailer about 100 miles with about 1500 pounds on it unloaded it and came home. I pulled in my yard and drove to the back of my property about 125 yards and my axle broke in half on my trailer. I only made it about 60 yards in my yard and it just went poof. I am so lucky it did not break when i was running 75. I am truly lucky.

Had a similar incident about 25 years ago. I pulled a boat back from the Canadian border to Minneapolis and the axle broke in the parking lot of the apartment building where I was staying . Was able to jack it up and put it on some timbers. One trip to Northern Hydraulic and I had a new axle on and ready for more fishing. Glad yours turned out for the best as well.[:)]

I often wondered how long things were made to last. When made (say a car) has x amount of milage before getting dead like people?
