I would have thought sending her to NYC would be a plus to you Southern Boys.

Trump is getting her out of the way so that the good people of SC can put a Trumpster in the Governor's Trailer.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

He gave the race hustling * a job, albeit one that is basically useless, when she should be on the street and homeless. Maybe she can redesign the UN flag that will suit the likes of Al Sharpton and like individuals such as OBama. The one good thing is that she will get her sorry * out of the south. He might have done this to appease the establishment republicans since she would need a job anyway, and in the process pleased the vast majority of South Carolinians and southerners in general with her removal, which cannot be soon enough.

Trump might have noticed her effort in removing the Confederate flag from state capital building ? (With approval of S.C. congress).

That would take some serious "guts" in the South. Maybe that's what Trump saw ? Trump likes determination and resolve when a person is supporting an unpopular position.

A quick check indicates Haley has very little (zero?) foreign policy experience. Nothing like "on the job training".[:)]

It took more than just southerners to elect Trump. He has a wide range of folks that he is trying to please. He appears to be eyeing some Democrats for positions as well so the Trump "purists" better tighten their seatbelts.

I find it entertaining that the people wsamest loudly touted Trump's ability to "Get things done" during the campaign are now bitching the loudest while he assembles his team.

The whole point of this was that he was going to do things his own way. Sit back, remember that Hillary will never be President, and enjoy the ride.

I also would think you'd be glad to see her gone. I wish her the best in New York. Maybe she can get rid of the UN also.

The UN representative is basically the voice of the President in the UN. She's not going to be saying or doing anything he doesn't want her to say or do.

Despite what some think, she's still pretty Conservative.

I think we should all demand that Trump run all his decisions past the Committee to Keep Southerners Content.

That's exactly what I thought today when I heard the announcement.

Having here 'somewhere' else and have a pro=Trump supporter take her place
(the SC LtG fully supported Trump while Haley did not) places SC firmly on his side.

And later... If Haley doesn't work out... C'est la vie.

Trump is caving on several issues.

I'm beginning to wonder if he was using he R ticket to hide his libral/Independent thoughts. Also caving in on Hillary charges, was a bombshell to some.

Already his Amb to UN stinks. He also seems to be in bed with Romney.

Now that made me laugh....Trump hasn't hide any of his liberal leanings. That was the reason many conservatives had a hard time getting on board. Trump has has more in common with democrats from the beginning. Expanding childcare benefits with fed tax dollars is a liberal position, supporting transgender bathrooms is a liberal position, trade tariffs is a liberal position, he was pro abortion until he flip flopped. And the big one, that he supports key provision of Obamacare, which will likely require mandatory participation in order to fund. So we'll end up with Obamacare under a different name. He said from the beginning that he would work with democrats as well as republicans.

It has become pretty clear that Trump said alot of things in the campaign that were for political theater. He was nasty to Cruz, as soon as that race was over he acted like nothing was said, and nothing should be taken personally, he has done the same with Mitt Romney and now Hillary Clinton. It is all part of the game for him.

As has been posited by others like Michael Savage, he believes a deal was worked out election night between Trump and the Clintons. Savage believes that the Clintons agreed that they would not challenge the election results and she'd concede if Trump agreed not to prosecute her for her many crimes. I think that is entirely possible.

I thought John Bolton was our Ambassador to the U.N? Has he been chosen for something else?

He was Ambassador to the UN under George W Bush. I was hoping he'd be chosen for Sec of State.

Of all the cabinet appointments I am confident Trump won't make, Bolton is it.

Bolton is a interventionist. He would be the polor opposite of Trump's proposed foreign policy.

Ahem! You'll notice that her removal from South Carolina was duly noted in my first post on the subject. Trump probably made that decision knowing full well the south would greatly appreciate that part of the move. [;)]

I guess we can all get a laugh.

The two provisions of ObamaCare that have been mentioned for retention are the issue of 'pre-existing conditions' and coverage for young adults on their parent's insurance plan.

Could you explain why either of those would require mandatory participation? I will even help you with a hint: most insurance in the US is tied to employment.

    I'll wait right here...
