I got ready for the day....kind of teary eyed.

I just can't do anything at all without going for a tissue every little bit..... I just don't know what to do or say.

This is crazy. I guess you guys mean more to me than I knew. I hate I had to learn this by losing one of you.

    You are not alone.
I love this forum and though we are all pretty much faceless to each other, more often than not I think of this place as family.
Dysfunctional maybe, but family just the same. [:)]

It is a Sobering Event, but it made me think a bit, and Give Thanks - I liked Scott21166's on-line persona, and always looked for his posts. I had never seen what race, how he looked, nor if he was a He or She - I just liked the Posts, and felt Friendly and Kinship with The Poster. A Nice Revelation.

sfrench's vitriol was consistent with my interaction with His/Her posts also, and reinforced my enmity with that persona, too.

It definitely makes you pause and reflect on what you say to others, particularly those you care about. They may be your last words - or theirs. [V]

What gets me is something happening quick. To me that is better than dying a little bit every day. The bad thing is for family they cant prepare.[:(]

I was getting choked up telling my wife. She knows I spend alot of time on here and that I consider this my extended family. I was sobbing last night when I read all this. I have what I consider alot of good friends on here and never met any of you. This is just so sad and crazy. I will never forget Scott.

It is eerie to read posts that Scott just wrote a few days ago, now to think that he is gone.

    Strange social dynamic, this place.

I never knew SCOTT other than here either, yet a black cloud was over my head all day upon learning of his untimely demise.

I guess I'm just a sentimental ol' fool, but you guys/gals mean a lot to me....

Ditto on both thoughts. Although I did not always agree with him, his posts were always informing or entertaining.

He never picked a fight or started an argument. If he disagreed with someone, he acted like an adult. His posts were always interesting and I probably would have enjoyed meeting him in person and talking politics!

Zipperzap was one of the greatest here. Man I miss him. The posting he made while his wife was sick was great. I suspected this place helped him get his mind off other things.

Blackhorn was a pick. I didn't mind telling him such when necessary, but he too had his personal demons. We all do. I could identify with that part of him.

Scott was a good one too. He was never bitter or hurtful.

I guess I was a little late getting the information that Scott had passed, truly a sad day here as well.

Although always described as a cowboy, Roswellnative generally acts as a righter of wrongs or bodyguard of some sort, where he excels thanks to his resourcefulness and incredible gun prowesses.

Zipperzap was a great forum member. I had many discussions with him on here about the old days in Mexico. Like me, Zipperzap often went to Mexico in the seventies, before it got so crazy and dangerous. He was a very interesting forum member.

Zipperzap's real name was also Scott.

    True there.
We need a GB Wall of Fame/Members Rememberance. The above alone should earn his name and image a rightful place there.

I feel bad for Scotts family and will miss his posts, he had a special angle on every subject. I didnt know him personally but I cared for him and its warms my heart that so many of you feel the same way, thanks for that.

I know what you're saying, Kasey.

Read the info while sitting in my home office yesterday, and was saddened. When I walked out to tell my wife, I choked up just thinking the words.

    Kind of like right now....

RIP, Scott, you will be missed.
