What is it with Android phones

I can send a 4:19 long video made on my iphone to another iphone without issue. When I tried to send it to an android phone it tells me the video is too long and I can not send it without severe editing for length. Is that a customer set feature or is it a platform limitation on Android phones?

Someone will correct me, but really on an iphone it just goes to the cloud account for another phone to retrieve. But perhaps on an Android it goes to that phone.

I believe that to be a carrier restriction or even the plan that the receiver has. It also could be a setting on the receiving phone as in do not DL anything larger than X unless on wifi. I know mine does have a setting like that.

Correct. I have android set to only allow downloads of certain sizes over 4g/3g...that way I don't run up my data. If on Wi-Fi it will automatically unlimot itself.

It's a great feature....i love who androids give me so many options and control of features.

email is guntech59@gmail.com or jnewcomb5@twcny.rr.com if you want to send it that way.

If it is too much trouble, don't worry about it. I get a bit frustrated with technology myself.

I will try again later it failed here in the morning. I can't get images out of the iphone yet into ubuntu on my laptop. When trying to load pics from my uber-slow DSL booster at home into an iphone generated email it crashes trying to upload them. I am heading to town in a while and will see if the wireless at the airport will let it load and send to you.

I just bought a new Epson printer for my truck, I don?t need a computer anymore because my phone comnects to the printer via wifi and I can scan, email or print right from an app on my phone. In some ways these new techy things are friggin awsome!

The technology is awesome. Just finding out how to use it properly is the problem,,,

guntech59, did you get the email? I tried to send it.

I was at the airport putting the cowling back on my airplane after an oil change. They sure make it hard to get one alone with all the asinine Southco fasteners. This is one area Piper has Cessna beat hands down. The cowling on a Piper is so much easier to remove and reinstall.

Oh, by the way, it was dang cold in the hanger even with 2- 60,000 BTU propane heaters blowing on me.
