Give your car a shot of Ethanol

Individuals can manufacture their own ethanol fuel for less than HALF the cost of $3.00 per gallon gasoline.

The downside is that you need to make beer first and then distill the mash into 199 proof grain alcohol.

The populations welfare is the NO. 1 concern at the BTAF and they will license these units to individuals who NEED FUEL.

Trust me on this, I know many who need fuel. They will not only help out with the cost of the fuel but furnish a large brisket for the BBQ and help butter up the leftover ears of corn !!!

Better act fast, there is a possibility the BATF will STOP the sale and ownership of NEW fuel systems. Only present owners will be allowed to produce fuel and I anticipate the price will rise.

Guess which state is selling stills before you click this link.

I wonder if we will have to start paying the fed and state tax on booze if we make our own? That will eliminate the savings over the price of gasoline quickly.

Want to find out if the State and Feds want their fuel tax? Buy a diesel, have a large tank installed at the house, get #2 heating oil delivered, run your car on it- and get caught! Oh yeah, they want their taxes! And for pity's sake, talk to the BATFE before investing any money in this. Natured alcohol is as heavily regulated as morphine. Stuff used in gasohol has been denatured, so is not regulated the same as drinking quality.

E85 (85% ethanol 15% gas) is a 10 octane fuel, a lot higher than premium, more like aviation gasoline from the days of piston aircraft.

Now if you had heating oil delivered to your home. How would anyone know if you burned it in your truck?

sig, they dye them different color. Diesel for road use and diesel for ag use are taxed differently, and dyed different colors.

I think that a lot of nay sayers work for the oil companys. Ehhanol IS cheap and BATF will issue a permit to make the stuff legaly. It has always been legal to brew your own as long as you were not selling it, or giving it away. You be right they want there TAX. But they can not tax what you make for your own fuel. You can sell to the bigger manufactures but at a reduced rate and must pay income tax.

Problem with runing your car on any type of Alcohol is that the mileage takes a significant dive with the higher percentage of alcohol to gasoline. My father noticed this in his new Ford fullsize van. Ethanol 10% blend gets 4-5 miles a gallon less than regular.

In his racecar which runs on 100% Methanol(from wood)he burns 2 times the ammount he did when he used racing gas. Plus alcohol is death on gaskets and carb floats if your car is old like mine(1986 Monte Carlo SS, 70 Nova SS)
