So some black gang member goes on a shooting spree and wounds seven party goers and it's just another straw in the camel's back to ban gun ownership for all citizens.

Just look at the gun laws in Maryland and Connecticut for reference! It's a slippery slope for a total gun ban unless your a law enforcement or active or retired officer military officer! Sooner than later the government is coming for your guns!

Seven people were wounded, several critically, in a shooting at a Spring Break house party early Saturday.

David Jamichael Daniels, 22, of Mobile, Ala., has been charged with seven counts of attempted murder and was in the Bay County Jail awaiting first appearance. Daniels was out on bond for drug possession in Alabama when the shooting occurred, McKeithen said at the press conference.

    Criminals being criminals...so what?

If, as you say, it is already a foregone conclusion, why are so many states now enacting less restrictive gun laws and some are banning more restrictive federal laws?

More states are stepping in on the good side of the fight than on the bad side. Isn't that what states' rights are all about?

What does being a military officer have to do with it?

Look no farther than the words and quotes of key socialist party members such as Obama, Schumer, Reno, Holder, Pelosi, Feinstein etc.
These people are telling you what they want to do.

They have made it plain as day one of the strategic goals of the socialist party is ZERO guns in private hands and will use any means necessary to achieve such goals. To the socialist party, the Second Amendment is irrelevant.

Sorry to say in Maryland if your a retired law enforcement or military officer your exempt from gun education classes.

These is a disturbing trend as nut cases and criminals hide under civilian rights to own Firearms and the government makes all citizens to report for an examination to own firearms but precludes military and police retirees.

Mostly our gun rights have been expanded and improved in numerous states. A few have backslid into anti-gun foolishness. So we have won many, lost few and the trend continues positively.

I do not suggest anyone ease off on pro-gun legislative or legal efforts. Constant vigilance is always wise, constant pressure to remove infringements is always the goal.

Just don't see the wisdom in being so doom and gloom when we are the one's who have been winning this argument for the last couple of decades at least.

I'm afraid that for the next 1 1/2 years we will see the terms "Presidential Degree" and "Presidential Pardon" many times.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

Like many others here I am over 63
years of age. I've enjoyed and experienced
the old times of freedom.I feel bad for
you young fellas. No more dumps
to shoot rats, one can no longer just
give some money to a hardware store
    and walk out with a gun;where I
came from the police didn't give a second
thought to a young lad walking down the
    street sporting a rifle.etc.....
    Freedom was great!!![:(]
