    I personally use the new light bulbs because I do notice a difference in my power bill by useing them (about $10 per month and now with the kids out of school even more). I also had big problems here at our house with the life of regular light bulbs due to tiny power fluxuations killing the bulbs and the new bulbs are not affected by this.

    But I in no way feel that the government should be telling us that we must use these new bulbs!

    I've been changing to the fluorescent bulbs for a while. I still have incandescent bulbs in the kitchen and a few in the basement. I don't have any complaints about the fluorescent bulbs other than the price.

    Now that the incandescent bulbs are contraband, I'll have to find a black-market source and change back.
