Gee why can't you just clip one on! I had to drill and tap the forearm nut and the stock. Now I can climb into my stand without trying to carry it though

Or bought the barrel attachment unit that slides over the barrel...

You've done it now, so just be proud of a do it yourself job well done, but if you ever have to do another one this is the easy way. I don't know what makes them so valuable these days, but here's a link.
