have you ever worked on something and things weren't going right and you blow a cork and destroy it in an uncontrolable rage?[B)]

yes, it runs in the family. My dad was real bad about it when he had his own business and was stressed out all the time. I try to just walk away for a while if/when I get to that point now.

Rarely. If a job is going badly and is fighting you, take a break, cool off and return to it later with a different approach. I've found there is generally more than one solution to a problem.
Frustration and anger block one's reasoning ability and put you in the fight mode.

I have a temper like you wouldnt believe but it only rears its ugly head about once a year to once every 2 years. Last time I got that mad I went out and pumped 200 rounds through an old 16 gauge I had.

I don't have much of temper, I get angry a few times a year. But I don't usually stay mad for more than 10 or 15 minutes.

I have a very bad temper----not quite as bad as when I was younger. Thankfully, it doesn't last long.

I used to be notorious for my temper,........all it got for me was high blood pressure, and constant turmoil in my life.
I still have a temper when common sense is disregarded, but I have learned to accept that the rest of the world may not be exactly like myself.
Once you free yourself from that,........you will be far better off, and also your health.
Remember the old saying,........"It takes all kinds",.......I used to add, but "they" shouldn't be necessary!
Life is too short to be angry all the time.
Reserve it for when it is due, and necessary.[;)]

I don't believe in uncontrollable tempers, because I discovered tempers are only uncontrollable around people who won't or can't kick your *.

...I get very frustrated last week when the toliet guts decided to leak and the hot water heater sprung a leak all at the same time. I was very unpleasant for about 2 days because I hate when it all comes down that hill at once.

I have a really bad temper when it comes to inanimate objects. I used to detroy a lot of things!

People don't bother me at all funnily! Probably because I expect stupidity from people.

I did put my plant manager's and a customer's name on some FBI silhouette targets and, well let's just say I felt better when I went back to work the following Mon.

No, but I beat my wedding ring from my first wife into dust with a hammer.

Oh, wait, yes, I believe I have.

I used to. but, aggression is learned; living with rottweilers for my best buddies for the last 12+ years has mellowed me out. they're a lot more even tempered than I was. it rubbed off on me.

I used to have a huge temper. Now I'm learning to think my way through it, honestly it is quite hard to choke my temper down and doesn't feel right when I'm trying to do it but I really do try hard.

Sometimes still I have a temper that blows up out of control in a split second and I don't know it's coming. For instance when I saw some kid in his late teens holding my 10 year old nephews bicycle by the handle bars bullying him. Before I knew it I was up and out of my chair walking very fast towards them and.....

Scared the hell out of my wife because it was out of nowhere and I really didn't know what I was doing.

People who explain away their actions by saying they "have a temper" have it backwards because this infers they possess a trait that others don't have. The reality is that they're lacking something most others have. Self control.

All humans are born knowing how to throw fits, self control has to be learned.

my cousin told me a story,it was when he was stationed at Bitburg.
His wife found it neccessary to have a boyfriend while he was tdy.
after the were split, but still married, he caught he and her new boyfriend in the ncl club, he walked over, he calmly told her to get up and leave and take her new boyfriend with her, and not bring him back to bitburg, he was stationed at Spangdahlem. He told her if she did not get up and leave taking her bo in tow, he would tear his arm off and beat her to death with it.
She knew if he was pushed he meant every word.

My temper was worse before becoming a parent. I try to stay calm these days but once a guy cut me off then proceded to brake check me twice with my kid in the truck. Before I knew what I was doing I was out of the truck and at his door....It's tough having to explain to your 4y.o. that you were wrong to get out and yell at someone.
