I find out tomorrow if they have got all the cancer or not. The cancer i have or had is the kind that always comes back but if they got it all this time it will take longer to come back. I think they got it all. They had 3 chances so i got to win one time. [:D]

I recently took a stress test which I flunked. A heart cath was indicated with a possible stent in one artery. Well I flunked that also. So now tomorrow at 5:15am I have to show up at the hospital for open heart surgery with 5 bypasses.

The only symptoms presented was a tightening at the base of the throat with a similar feeling to the onset of heartburn. I've felt fine and have led an active and fairly hard working daily regimen lately especially with remodeling the basement.

Hopefully I'll be back soon to poke fun at, and otherwise try to insert a sense of humor in this current atmosphere of discontent.

    Later, Joe

I go for a cat scan to see whats up with my chest, head and neck. In December i had something show up on a x-ray in my chest. They think it was just fluid and they gave me antibiotics.

We will see tomorrow. They say if my cancer comes back it will be in my chest. Also i will find if my jaw is worse and if the cyst in my jaw has grown.

One good thing is my cat scan is at 1 and i see my cancer doctor at 2:15 with the results.

God forbid if you ever get cancer go to UNC Cancer Hospital. They have their stuff together.

My knee started hurting around Christmas and i broke down and went to the doctor in Feb. He told me i tore my Miniscus.

Last week they did an MRI and tomorrow i find out how bad it is screwed up. Hopefully they can go in and clean it up some and not total knee replacement.

Cortisone shots last 1 to 3 days thats it.

Then they can fix my right knee.[:)]

With my knees fixed i will be like a new man. LOL

My knees hurt bad enough all my other pain is ignored and i do not feel it. It is amazing how that happens.

I get to find out what is wrong with my left knee and hopefully they will mri my right knee.

I dont know what to hope for. If it will stop hurting a knee replacement is ok or go in there with a knife and clean up the knee.

Or it would be nice if they just shoot gel in there. As long as they make it feel better i would be happy.

    UPDATE.
I survived the surgery and everyone tells me I'm doing great. I'm still in the ccu unit, but I may go home tomorrow, if my chest tube slows down. I decided early on not to be stubborn and follow directions. Who knew that it would work. If you are inquisitive, I may even post some pics of my zipper.
    Take care, Joe

PS. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes, they were very much appreciated.
