I saw the video of the guy getting shot. Everyone assumes he was told to raise his hands. Supposed they asked him to throw the gun on the ground and then when he put his hands in his coat they shot him.
There is no way to know what went on at all.

And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
Coming down the mountain
Actions have consequences. If the FBI can't manufacture evidence quick enough, this will get ugly. If Greg Bretzing thought releasing a video from a mile high will justify a homicide, he might be wrong.
Look more closely and you will see that his reactions are to being shot. He's not putting hands in pockets or reaching for something... he's getting shot and his hands are naturally going to cover the wounds.

This will be interesting how fast the FBI can manufacture evidence. This could blowup in a hurry.

The FBI will have to wait and see what the POTUS and the AG tell them to say.

The FBI gets paid to be professional. This didn't look like a professional operation to me. Finicum had been in the sovereign citizen Business long enough to know he was risking his life getting out of his truck and running, adding to the risk when he made questionable moves.
I am dumbfounded, flabbergasted, that in a high profile case they had to know could be nationwide headlines, the FBI put the only camera in Oregon in an aircraft.
For the question of it being a 'good shoot', when all the evidence is in, if a reasonable person in the same circumstances would think his or other's life is in danger, it's a good shoot.
