Netanyahu's Speech before Congress

I watched Netanyahu's speech and thought it was marvelous. He inadvertantly made Obama seem like Neville Chamberlain at Munich with his deal with Iran.
He also seemed to make it clear that deal or no deal, Isr?l would not take the chance with a nuclear armed Iran and would go it alone if need be.

Very impressive speech! A real leader, that has a pair!
It spoke volumes that the entire Congress gave him a standing ovation, and that there wasn't a single Obama administration member there.

It is truly a shame that we have to rely on the leader of another country to address our legislature in a presidential manner when our own "President" is such the antithesis of a statesman. [V]

Well you can see Obama's response to that. He's on the side of Iran. He cares not one whit that Israel has been our ally for years nor does he care to further open democracy. Look what he's done to socialize our America.

What makes it so noteworthy is seeing a serious man who is intelligent, a leader, and a good speaker, rather than someone whose KneePad Brigade fans think he is.

We have been without such seriousness for far too long. We saw it during the Clinton Administration when it seemed that children were in charge. The current administration is even worse. You cannot wish away evil and danger. It will still be there when you open your eyes.

Perhaps the people of this country and the world will come to understand that while we may not like the level of involvement in the world that American leadership requires, they are even less likely to desire what happens in the absence of that leadership.

    Time will tell.

part of this "deal" BB is pushing back against is that Obama is going to agree to allow Iran to gets nuclear weapons in 10 years. Obama wants a nuclear Iran.

I think they are crazy enough to try it.
I also think they are crazy IF they try it.
I believe Israel would find out, and hit them first and a lot harder.
    Then it's "Whoa, Nellie!" [}:)]
I hope we have a president by then, not a pretender.

Here is the thing. If a person can be born in Kenya and become president of the USA why not someone who is actually qualified to be president and was born in Israel becoming president of the USA.

Can you imagine the world with Netanyahu as our president?

Just imagine for a moment the office getting respect for the first timer since Reagan.

Shouldn't there be a clause that says if every possible born in the USA candidate is a blabbering moron allow us to have a competent person in the White House as an option?

Sorry, did not mean to inject logic into what has become illogical by desire

I listened to the speech. It made me sad. Here is a man who is a real leader.

We have a Community Organizer, an appeaser who likes Muslims more than the likes other people.
Netanyahu should run for President in America.

Who knows for sure,, just what some folks say, but this isn't all "cash", we manufacture hardware and GIVE ti Israel. Maybe they have a few patriot missiles left over.

quote:Given that U.S. military aid to Israel was $2.775 billion in 2010, $3 billion in 2011, $3.07 billion in 2012 (and $3.15 billion per year from 2013-2018) while Israel's defense budget is around $15 billion, it made us wonder how much Israeli taxpayers contribute and where the other $12 billion non-U.S. aid comes from.

Pretty good deal. Consider the fact the U.S. gives gives egypt 1.5 Billion per year and a few years ago it was 2 Billion and I believe that was MOSTLY CASH,, that I'm sure is under someones bed.

Think Clinton was sending Colombia 1 or 2 Billion a year.

There was a time, a little over six years, that I thought Barrack Hussein Obama was only naive, young beyond his years and living in his own fantasy world. I thought that condition was aggravated by an ego the size of the Milky Way and a swinging sack full of empty.

It appears more and more each day that he really is a conscious enemy of my country doing as much damage as possible intentionally.

I hope that isn't true because if that turns out to be the case I'm one of those people who "can't handle the truth".

What really amazes me is how so many party members still stand behind their party lines on this speech and won't speak out for what is right. BN is totally in line with what he has to say, the Dem's cry and moan about how bad it is, and nobody from the right will come out waiving the flag until somebody has yelled marco pollo.....what gives?

It is true. Do you know why the fervor over Rudy's comments have died down? because most sane, educated Americans know that what he said about Obama is true. Things will accelerate, Obama has limited time to do as much damage, to make permanent his transformation and he will be pedal to the metal. The executive changes he is making right now will take decades to reverse, if they are reversible at all.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm..

I get amazed once in a while too, but the Republicans amaze me more than the Democrats. When the Democrats couldn't find anything to cry and * and moan about they came up with this "breach of protocol" fallacy. Without making any attempt to find out what the protocol is, the Democrats fell into lockstep to reinforce the fallacy. Then, without making any attempt to find out what the protocol is, the Republicans started trying to defend their "breach of protocol".

The House of Representatives sets the rules and "protocol" for the House of Representatives. They can ask anybody they want to speak before the House of Representatives. They don't need permission from or notification to the President of the United States, the Supreme Court or my wife. There was no "breach of protocol".

The subject of the speech, "Should we give permission to Iran to destroy the world as we know it?" is another source of amazement for me. The agreement Barrack Hussein Obama is trying to enter with Iran amounts to a treaty. Barrack Hussein Obama thinks he doesn't need ratification by two thirds of the Senate. The Republicans don't bother to disagree with that point. The House of Representatives is trying to write new legislation to force some kind of approval by some part of Congress.

I know I'm not expected to agree with everything my government does, but all this rewriting of the Constitution and pulling law out of somebody's * leaves me scratching my head.

I agree with you. I am truly amazed.

Isn't it a breach of protocol to bypass Congress and make laws by executive fiat?

Since when does a foreigner come before our lawmakers asking for the demise of another sovereign state?

Its good that Obama set this interloper straight on his mission for our US mission to waste US troops and taxpayer $$ on a non existent problem...[8]
