Went to a bachelor party in Idaho with guys from high school. We rented a cabin drank too much and caught up on the last 20 years. In the evening smoking cigars a heard of Elk would come over the top of the ridgeline and work their way down to the river slowly.
It was pretty and very cool out there- maybe low 70?s.
My contribution was a bottle of Absinthe I picked up in France a few months back.
Then i had to go up to Boston for work, and while i cant stand the city, I scored a cool rental car. I never know what im gonna get but the rag tops are few and far between.
Took a tour of the Sam Adams brewery one evening.
Then all my meetings wrapped up mid afternoon and I wasn?t flying out until the next morning.
So I cruised up to Maine and got some fresh lobster. Excellent!

How far from Boston is Maine lobster? Must be little tiny states, unlike we are used to.
'Little tiny states' is correct. I once drove from Beantown to Mystic River Seaport Museum (Conn), spent the day, then headed to Plymouth, Ma and stopped in Fall River, Ma to see the USS Massachusetts battle wagon (had about 1/2 hour before it closed for the day), continued to Plymouth, saw the 'rock' (not much to see) and had fresh seafood for dinner on the wharf.
My companion had fresh lobster and I had fried clams. Then it was back to Boston for the night.
The next day we drove back to Fall River and I explored BB-59 from stem to stern while Judy sat in the shade studying. (She'd 'seen' enough in the 1/2 hour the day before!!)

I can?t think of a better way to spend an afternoon in Maine. [:)]
