Unusual Revolver

Take a look at this revolver. It has three barrels that presumably all fire at the same time. Looks to be some kind of customized cartridge revolver made from a BP gun.

No markings other than the number 21 and "British Bulldog" on the top strap.

I've been in lots of gun museums but I've never seen one like that. Kind of reminds me of the French LeMat revolver used by the south during the Civil War, but LeMat only had two barrels.

I emailed the guy and asked him what he has. He's not selling it on ebay it's only in the background of the pic to get your attention. Pretty cool.

The auction says for a "Lugar part", which I think they mean that little angled piece in the center of the second photo. I am not sure where you got the other 2 photos from as they are not in the Ebay ad.

The guy has a bunch of parts for sale on Ebay. The gun is in the background of a few of the pics of parts. I was looking for a Luger rear toggle link when I ran across this pic. Never saw one like it. So thought I would share this oddity.

Check around for a copy of "Firearms Curiosa" by Winant. It is out of print, but there was a special print run for the NRA, and I picked up a copy on Amazon. More weird firearms between two covers than you have ever seen, including revolvers similar to this one, and other weird stuff, like the .307 Schneelock Triangular Revolver cartridge (no, not making that one up)

I saw a picture of a similar one that was in a museum. I think its a belgium made gun. At least the one I saw was. Sorry I can't be of any more help.
