recurring dream - is there a Dr. in the house?

It's not exactly the same dream, but I often find myself dreaming of a confrontation with a group of people that ends with me running away, but eventually having a confrontation. In the one that just woke me up I cleverly dispatched several murderous thugs, without the use of my gun, but usually I wake up before any violence happens.
The recurring elements are
1) angry group, with or without justification
2) flight
3) confrontation

thing with some poker buddies a couple weeks back. It
was more common than I thought. Some of the rationale
for repeating dreams was interesting. [:D]
Where are you when confronted initially?
Where do you go when you "flight"?
Anyone else that you know in the dream?

Now, tell me... for how long have you hated your mother?
If they have justification, what is it? What do they want?

The settings of the dream vary, most often I am falsely accused of something or perhaps mistaken for someone else.
There is never anyone I recognize personally in the dreams.
