Edward A. Morris (Eddie) passed away this afternoon after a brief fight with cancer and a long fight with advanced diabetis. Owner of 4M Farms, long time (30 years) employee of Halliburton Energy Services, father of Cherie' and Jeffery, husband to Geneva, and grandfather to Calib (sp). He was a good friend to many of us and a good man.
He had planned his retirement from Halliburton for April of 2006, but was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in February of this year and had been out on short term disability. Last month, he traveled to see the Statue of Liberty, a long time desire. Served his country in the USAF during Viet Nam and was a true patriot. A hunter and gun collector who longed for the simple life in the country of Texas. He lived a good life and had many, many friends of which I am one.
Father, take care of my good friend. There is nothing else I can do for him.
