Media reports are now saying that two personnel at that Navy base in Chattanooga used unauthorized personal handguns and fired on the bad guy during that attack. Ballistics results showing whether either of them hit have not been released yet.
One was the base commander and the other a Marine.
There are undoubtedly a lot of our military personnel carrying unauthorized/concealed.

That situation was over as soon as it started, with the guy emptying a mag and then driving off before anyone inside would've had time to engage him.
I don't believe anything those SOB's say!!
Sounds like the government is trying to come up with a good reason to show that it wouldn't have mattered if they had guns to protect themselves or not.

So you're calling that Lt. Cmdr. and the young Marine liars?
There was a lock box in the office. It had 2 issue 45 1911's. In addition the Commander's 38 Colt Cobra, the CSM S&W Model 10 and My Beretta BDA 380.

I think he is referring to main stream democrat partisan media. I too don't trust MSM.

I'd prefer for a poster to explain their comments themselves, but...
Tough for the story to be BS without those two lying.
I'm strongly inclined to believe service members when they admit to UCMJ violations which could very well end their careers and/or put them in jail. Especially so when others there could easily call them out for false claims.
In the not too distant future you can expect to hear lots of first hand, detailed accounts from sailors, Marines and cops of what happened that day - in addition to dash-cam videos.
The Marine Corps is chomping at the bit to tell about it [:D]:

It would be hard to call the Marine a liar since he's dead.
She said there were the guys checking the ID's and then there was a guy with a shotgun who was standing off to the side watching the cars inline.
So at least on Ft Bragg, security is being increased.
BTW I apologize for offending anyone here because my racist key board typed Ft. Bragg(dang it did it again) since the Fort was named after a CSA General who owned over 100 slaves and advised the President of the CSA[:0]

Where did you hear this?
Even if correct, it's entirely possible to call a dead man a liar. It's just impossible for him to defend himself against slander. [;)]
